Top Issues

What is ADSL Broadband?

ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) is a broadband technology that lets you enjoy super-fast Internet access without the need for lots of equipment.

The benefits of ADSL include:

  • You can download large files fast

  • You can still use your phone lines while you're on the web

  • It is up to 20 times faster than a standard dial-up connection

  • You do not pay for a telephone connection every time you access the Internet

Can all non-government organisations (NGOs) join HSNet?

All NGOs that provide human services in NSW are eligible to join the HSNet web site.

NGOs that make, send or receive client referrals can also apply to use ReferralLink.

I’m having problems logging in to HSNet. What should I do?

Before you can log in to HSNet you must first become a registered member. To register, go to http://www.hsnet.nsw.gov.au and click on the link labelled Register here at the top right of your screen.

If you are already a registered member of HSNet, check that your username and password are correct. If they are not correct or you have forgotten either one, complete the Forgotten password option and your password and username will be emailed to you.

If you entered your email address incorrectly when you registered, you will not have received your username and password. If you think this may be the case then contact hsnet@hsnet.nsw.gov.au to rectify the problem.
