The year has commenced in full swing for the HSNet Team with many projects and training sessions planned for 2008.
This newsletter aims to keep you informed about recent developments in the Human Services Sector, the HSNet web site and HSNet
team.
The HSNet newsletter reaches an audience of over 3,000 government and non-government staff, so if you would like to provide us with your
good news stories, project information, accomplishments or 'What's happening' in your area please email hsnet@hsnet.nsw.gov.au

Free HSNet workshops for the Southern Inland
Region | |

Participants will have the opportunity to experience HSNet, ServiceLink and e-Referrals
'hands-on' whilst being guided by experienced HSNet trainers.
Workshops will be held in:
- Orange - Monday 18 February (click the town name for further information).
- Wagga
Wagga - Wednesday 20 February (click the town name for further information).
- Holbrook - Thursday 21 February (click the town name for further information - Holbrook is approx. 1hr from Wagga Wagga and 45min from Albury).
The workshops are free of charge and are valuable to all staff delivering human services, especially frontline staff, their managers and those working on interagency projects.
The HSNet workshops are open to workers from
both government and non-government organisations. They are cross agency in nature, providing participants with an opportunity to network and find out what others are working on as well.

Free HSNet Training on the South Coast from 3 - 7 March | |

The HSNet Team will be visiting the South Coast and providing free training on HSNet services and tools from 3 - 7 March 2008. Participants will have the option of a morning or afternoon training session.
We will be visiting:
- Goulburn - 3 March (click the town name for further information).
- Queanbeyan - 4 March (click the town name for further information).
- Cooma - 5 March (click the town name for further information).
- Bega - 6 March (click the town name for further information).
- Moruya - 7 March (click the town name for further information).

Free HSNet Sydney Training Sessions | |
|
HSNet provides regular free half-day training sessions in Sydney which include an overview of all HSNet services and tools.
If you are a new member or would like to ‘brush up’ your knowledge of HSNet, the workshop gives you a ‘hands on’ opportunity to discover resources available through HSNet and
its tools.
The training sessions are held at Bligh Street, Sydney (5min walk from Wynyard train station) on a regular basis.

Hunter DADHC Access Point Demonstration Project | |
|
This project will simplify access to the Community Care system, ensuring that all eligible clients are assessed adequately using a consistent assessment methodology, and electronically referred
to the most appropriate service provider(s).
The HSNet Team is working with DADHC and Non-Government Organisations (NGOs)
participating in this project to provide training on how to accept electronic referrals via the Human Services Network (HSNet) web site.
The HSNet team have thus far successfully provided training to 40
participants. | | |

ServiceLink Tutorial

|
ServiceLink and its eReferral component are designed for case workers in the NSW human service sector to easily find services and make
secure online referrals for their clients.
To assist users, an online tutorial is available from within ServiceLink by clicking the tutorial link located at the top right hand corner of the
screen.
